Frame Geometry

A: Top Tube Length:  20.75″ – Learn what size is right for you here.Opens in a new tab.

A 20.75″ TT is perfect for riders who are 5’6″ to 5’9″.

B: Chain Stay Length: 12.75”

A 12.75″ Chain Stay is a little shorter then average. A short chain stay is more responsive. A longer chain stay is less responsive but gives you a wider balance point.

C: Head Tube Angle: 75.5° – Learn About Head Tube Angles HereOpens in a new tab.

Steep heat tube angles make the bike “snappy” meaning more responsive to fast turns. A less steep head tube gives you more control.

D: Seat Tube Angle: 71°

E: Bottom Bracket Height: 11.7”

F: Stand Over Height: 9”

The Stand over height affects how much frame there is to control tricks with. A tall 9″ SO will make bars and t-bog easier. While a short SO makes whips easier.

2020 We The People Trust Freecoaster Price

The Trust bmx bike is priced high a $784. This is mostly for the serious riders and it is priced way too high for someones first bike.

2020 We The People Trust Freecoaster Quality

The Trust is top-line bike. With full chromoly, 2.4″ tires, and aftermarket SALT and ECLAT parts. This list of parts make it stronger than the lower level bikes. I imagine for the average rider, this will last a few years easily.

Highlights

GOOD PARTS

Every part on this bike is solid. I like that the Trust comes with hubgaurds and pegs. Most bikes leave out the pegs and make you pay a bunch of money to get them.

Lowlights

Salt parts are a lower end

Salt is similar to Mission bmx. Meaning that they are both lower-level companies, whose mission is to provide lower quality lower-priced parts.

Buy if you are learning:

  • 360
  • all grinds
  • x-up rides
  • half-cab/full cab
  • Barspin
  • Tailwhips
  • 540

Don’t buy if you are learning:

  • Good to go for any trick!

Conclusion 🤩

This bike is a lot like the 2020 WTP BattleshipOpens in a new tab.. However, it is a little lower quality. The Trust has good chromoly parts and good eclat parts. The reason that this bike is cheaper than the Battleship is because it has more Salt than Eclat parts.

It is still a good bike for the price. But it really is best for a serious rider. Do not buy the bike if this is your first bmx bike.

If you decide to buy this bike it is actually on sale at Chain ReactionOpens in a new tab., which sells in the US and UK.

My parents bought me my first BMX bike in 2011 and it changed my life. This bike has taken me all over the world and introduced me to cool places and cooler people. My goal is to help get 1,000,000 people into BMX so they can experience the joy and freedom that comes from a progression based sport.
