2020 Subrosa Salvador (Park) Review

The 2020 Salvador Park edition is very similar to the 2020 Fit PRK. The Salvador has a responsive geometry designed for park. With single wall rims, I wouldn’t recommend doing too much hefty park riding. However, it is a good beginner bike.

Frame Geometry

A: Top Tube Length:  20.5″ – Learn what size is right for you here.Opens in a new tab.

This is a short toptube.

Perfect for riders that are between 5’6″ to 5’9″

B: Chain Stay Length: 12.5” – Learn About Chain Stays HereOpens in a new tab.

This is a really short chain stay! It will be really responsive and easy to do spin tricks.

C: Head Tube Angle: 75° – Learn About Head Tube Angles HereOpens in a new tab.

Steep head tube angles make the bike “snappy” meaning more responsive to fast turns.

A less steep head tube gives you more control.

D: Seat Tube Angle: 71°

E: Bottom Bracket Height: 11.6″

F: Stand over height: 8.5″

This is a medium standover.

A tall standover gives you more stability and will make bars, and t-bogs easier.

2020 Subrosa Salvador (Park) Price

I think that $459 is too much for this bike. And that is only because some bikes at this price have double wall rims or full chromoly. It just seems a tiny bit overpriced.

2020 Subrosa Salvador (Park) Quality

For an entry-level bike it is good quality. This bike has some strong parts that can give a new rider a lot of benefits. But for a mid-high level rider, the quality will not last.

Highlights

Designed for Park

Park riders were kept in mind with the development of the Salvador Park. Meanign that the specs will really help with tech park tricks. This is cool if you plan on riding strictly park.

Lowlights

Low Quality

I just wish that you got double wall rims with this bike. Most people will send fly out whips while they are fairly new. And in the end, this will kill the wheel.

Buy if you are learning:

Don’t buy if you are learning:

  • Tailwhip
  • 540
  • big drops
  • flips
  • big 360s

2020 Subrosa Salvador (Park) Conclusion 🤩

I like the idea behind this bike… But I think it is a little overpriced. The 2020 Fit PRK is $60 cheaper and similar quality. If you absolutely love Subrosa and want a bmx bike designed strictly for park.. Get this one. Otherwise, there is better quality bikes.
