Frame Geometry

A: Top Tube Length:  20.75″ – Learn what size is right for you here.Opens in a new tab.

Designed for riders who are 5′ 6″ to 6′

B: Chain Stay Length: 13.65” – Learn About Chain Stays HereOpens in a new tab.

This is a longer chain stay. It gives you a more stable and controlled feel.

C: Head Tube Angle: 75° – Learn About Head Tube Angles HereOpens in a new tab.

Steep head tube angles make the bike “snappy” meaning more responsive to fast turns.

A less steep head tube gives you more control.

D: Seat Tube Angle: 71°

E: Bottom Bracket Height: 11.8″

F: Stand over height: 9″

This is a medium/tall standover.

A medium stand over provides a good balance between responsiveness and control.

While a tall stand over allows you to pinch more of the seat for bars and t-bogs.

2021 Cult Control Price

The Control is just under $500. Most parents will spend about that much on a new bike for their kid. In comparison to other bikes with the same quality, I think that this bike is a little overpriced.

2021 Cult Control Quality

The Cult control is borderline mid-level quality. It has a double wall rim in the back and a single wall upfront. Which isn’t really a big deal since the back wheel takes most of the beating. The fact that the frame isn’t full chromoly is the only thing keeping it from being mid-level.

Highlights

Under $500

Like I mentioned earlier, bikes under $500 sell more. Which helps grow the sport. ☺️

Lowlights

Overpriced

I don’t mean to bash the bike, because it does have some ‘aftermarket’ parts like the Salvation Stem and Cult Vans tires. But there are full chromoly bikes for this price range. Finding one would be a better option.

Buy if you are learning:

  • 180
  • 360
  • barspins
  • t-bogs
  • crank flips

Don’t buy if you are learning:

  • Big drops
  • 360 drops
  • 540
  • whips
  • flips

2021 Cult Control Conclusion

The 2021 Cult Control is for someone who has been riding bmx for a few months and can do some basic beginner tricks. Upgrading to the Control will give you a bike with some aftermarket parts and a little added strength. If you have a little extra money, I’d recommend getting a bike with full chromoly.
