Built upon a frame which most other aftermarket frames would be even envious of, the Crysis is wrapped in a generous helping of WETHEPEOPLE parts including the all-terrain 2.35” Overbite tires, Logic sprocket and new for 2021; the Logic front load stem. The Crysis is available in 20.5” or 21” toptube sizes, both are using our invest cast wishbone and taller 127mm head tube for a super clean and refined look.

Getting a top tube that is taller than suggested will make the bike feel more controlled and less responsive
Getting a top tube size that is smaller than normal will make the bike feel a lot more snappy and responsive.

This is a long chainstay.
A short chain stay makes the bike feel twitchy. Spins will be easy, but airing and jumping might feel hard to control.
A long chain stay will make the bike feel really controlled. Spins will feel sluggish, but manuals and air tricks will feel nice because it will be more stable.

Steep head tube angles make the bike “snappy” meaning more responsive to fast turns.
A less steep head tube gives you more control.

Wide bars give you more control and stability when steering.
I: Backsweep: 12º
What does backsweep do?
As far as I know, there is a sweet spot for backsweep. Too much will make the bike feel weird, and too little will make the bike unstable. It seems like the sweet spot is around 11º to 12º. If you need something a little more aggressive and straight feeling, go for 10º, but only do this if 11º is uncomfortable.

What does upsweep do?
There is a lot of discussion about 1º upsweep vs. 4º upsweep. Some people are running experiments and testing if the greater upsweep will make drops feel better. It seems like a lot of street riders run 4º to 5º upsweep. This helps for wrist pain and lessens the impact of big drops.

This bike costs $660.00. Now once you get up in this price range you’re looking at really high-quality bikes with full chromoly and lots of aftermarket parts. The 2021 Crysis is priced very similarly to the high-end fly bikes in their line.
Quality
The 2021 Wethepeople Crisis is stacked with quality. I really think this is one of the best bikes that I’ve reviewed in 2021. The full chromoly frame has gussets built into it, the bars and Forks are also full chromoly. And the parts are aftermarket. What more could you ask for?

Conclusion
This year’s Wethepeople Crysis is a really good bike for someone who needs a bike with amazing quality. The specs are a little more relaxed than some of the other Wethepeople bikes, making it really good for flowing dirt, park, or street. The person who buys this bike is probably doing some pretty cool tricks since they need a bike that will withstand the heavier riding. This person also likes to balance Park Street and dirt because they have fun shredding everything.
