Overview

WHAT CAN ACTUALLY BE SAID TO SUM UP JORDAN GODWIN? ONE OF THE MOST PROGRESSIVE STREET RIDERS IN THE GAME, TO SAY JORDAN HAS EARNED A SIGNATURE FRAME WOULD BE THE UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE CENTURY. THE DOOMSAYER WAS A NATURAL PROGRESSION OF THE BATTLESHIP FRAME JORDAN HAD BEEN RIDING FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS COMBINED WITH JORDANS SPECIFIC NEEDS WHICH HAVE EVOLVED OVER THAT TIME.

WITH SUPER PROGRESSIVE GEOMETRY, A BEEFED UP TUBE SET AND A UNIQUE HYDROFORMED SEAT TUBE JUNCTION, THE DOOMSAYER IS ONE OF THE MOST ADVANCED AND ROBUST STREET FRAMES WE’VE EVER MADE.

Jordan Godwin Signature

“Getting to work on a signature frame with wethepeople has honestly been a dream come true, I can’t thank those dudes enough for the opportunity and giving me full control of what I wanted.

One of the features I’m really hyped on is the the 12.95” rear end. It feel’s super stable for bigger set-ups but also responsive enough to make manuals and technical grinding easier.

Together with the 76.25 degree head tube angle, the wheelbase is shorter and this has helped me so much with front-end stuff especially nose manuals.

The placement of the hydroformed gussets give the frame a real clean and balanced look. We tried a few variations of the placement but this one was definitely the cleanest look and it’s super solid! I do a lot of hard spins and that can sometimes end up twisting the back end of a frame, so we decided to beef up the seat stay tubing to completely get rid of that problem.

The graphics are something that makes a frame for me, wethepeople know that and really wanted to work closely with me to get exactly what i wanted, and honestly, I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out, something simple but also really fits the image of the frame name and of course the doom mask is incorporated in there

The bottom bracket is taller at 11.9” which gives the frame a snappy feel but also so it stays out of the when grinding kink rails. Also, I run a 28t sprocket so when I’m doing oppo grinds that thing isn’t dragging on the rail/ledge.

Basically, this thing is exactly what I wanted there is nothing I would change

A serious thank you to wethepeople for making this happen letting me have control and not just making a frame then slapping my name on it. Those guys are the best for real!”

A: Top Tube Length: 20.5″, 20.75″ 21″ – Learn what size is right for you hereOpens in a new tab.

Check the size guide to see if its right for you..

Getting a top tube that is taller than suggested will make the bike feel more controlled and less responsive

Getting a top tube size that is smaller than normal will make the bike feel a lot more snappy and responsive.

B: Chain Stay Length: 12.95″ – Learn About Chain Stays HereOpens in a new tab.

This is a Medium chainstay.

A short chain stay makes the bike feel twitchy. Spins will be easy, but airing and jumping might feel hard to control.

A long chain stay will make the bike feel really controlled. Spins will feel sluggish, but manuals and air tricks will feel nice because it will be more stable.

C: Head Tube Angle: 76.25° – Learn About Head Tube Angles HereOpens in a new tab.

This is a very steep headtube angle.

Steep head tube angles make the bike “snappy” meaning more responsive to fast turns.

A less steep head tube gives you more control.

D: Seat Tube Angle: 71°

E: Bottom Bracket Height: 11.9″

F: Stand over height: 9″

This is a Tall standover.

A tall standover makes your seat higher up and will allow you to pinch it easier when learning barspins.

While a Small Standover will make it harder to bar but easier to whip

Price

So, i’m writing this review right after reviewing the Fit Hartbreaker Frame. In my opinion… the Doomsayer is much better quality and like $50 cheaper. Now with that being said, the Doomsayer has more of as technical street focus. I’ll talk about that later. But just considering price, $344 is a very good price for this frame.

Why does it cost as much a complete bike?

It’s kind of crazy to think that you can get a complete bike for less than this frame. However, this frame is for high-level riding and will outlast a complete bike by YEARS. Here are a few things that make it more expensive than a complete bike.

  • Lifetime Guarantee: WTP is confident in the frame’s ability to hold up. So they have a lifetime guarantee.
  • Sanko Chromoly: The Elite frame material.
  • Hydroformed Downtube: The downtube looks kind of funny because it is hydroformed. This way adds the same strength as gussets without the extra weight.

Conclusion

Overall, I really think the Doomsayer frame is one of the best for technical street riding. Although I’m a little skeptical about the toptube not having a gusset. It might be a little weaker than most but the hydroformed down tube makes up for it.

The geometry will make this bike responsive in the street and even good for park riding. The tall bottom bracket height will keep the sprocket and bottom bracket out of the way when doing grinds.

This frame will be able to replace any frame on any bike that I review on this website.
