A short chain stay makes the bike feel twitchy. Spins will be easy, but airing and jumping might feel hard to control.
A long chain stay will make the bike feel really controlled. Spins will feel sluggish, but manuals and air tricks will feel nice because it will be more stable.

Is the 2022 Control for street riding?
The Cult Control is not classified as “street specific”. It’s actually a little better for riding dirt jumps. If street riding is your calling, skip the Control and get something like the WTP Reason or the Kink Switch.
Riding it at the Skatepark
Park Score: 3.33
The Control scored a 3.33 in the park section. It is not a really responsive bike and it is actually impossible to put a gyro on the Cult Control. How frustrating. There are a lot of things that the Control needs to earn some more park points.
Is the 2022 Cult Control good for riding skateparks?
No, the Control would not be the best choice if park riding is your main goal. You have much better options for park riding. The Control is more well-rounded for riding a little bit of everything. Check out the Wethepeople Versus to see a park-specific bike.

Dirt Score: 5.38
The Control scored a 5.38 in the dirt section. The long stable geometry on the Cult Control gives it the ability to handle high speeds often seen at the trails. It also has a cassette and not a freecoaster which makes the gearing better set for the dirt.

Should you get it the Cult Control
If you are a mid-level rider but your budget is a little lower than you care to admit.. this bike will be fine. I have nothing against this bike.. But the Kink Whip is the same price and has much better quality. The only reason to buy the Cult Control over the Kink Whip is because of the Control’s 20.75″ toptube which is better for taller riders than the Whip’s 20.5″ toptube.
