A short chain stay makes the bike feel twitchy. Spins will be easy, but airing and jumping might feel hard to control.
A long chain stay will make the bike feel really controlled. Spins will feel sluggish, but manuals and air tricks will feel nice because it will be more stable.

What does backsweep do?
As far as I know, there is a sweet spot for backsweep. Too much will make the bike feel weird, and too little will make the bike unstable. It seems like the sweet spot is around 11º to 12º. If you need something a little more aggressive and straight feeling, go for 10º, but only do this if 11º is uncomfortable.

What does upsweep do?
There is a lot of discussion about 1º upsweep vs. 4º upsweep. Some people are running experiments and testing if the greater upsweep will make drops feel better. It seems like a lot of street riders run 4º to 5º upsweep. This helps for wrist pain and lessens the impact of big drops.

Now, there are better value options, but not many of them are gonna be park-specific like this bike. In all honesty, I was surprised to see the forecaster park score this high for the value.

Yes, the Sunday forecaster park is a good BMX bike. It’s almost mid-level quality, it’s going to be strong enough to withstand a decent amount of riding, and everything Sunday makes is literally so smooth and dialed that this bike will be no different. No, it’s not the best value but it is a good BMX bike.
Riding it at street spots
Street Score: 4.22
The Sunday forecaster park surprisingly scored a 4.22 in the street section. This is an adequate street score. It does not mean that this bike is designed for street riding but if you’d like to ride a little bit of street it certainly won’t be an issue. All you’ll need to do is purchase some pegs and some hub guards and maybe a sprocket with a bash guard and you will be good to go.
Is the Sunday Forecaster Park bike for street riding?
No. The Sunday forecaster park is not designed specifically for street riding. Like I mentioned above it’s totally possible to ride street on this bike if you make a few upgrades. But as it comes, right out of the box, it’s not built for riding Street.

The 2022 Sunday forecaster is built for riding at the skate park. So obviously it’s going to score 7.95 in the park section. You can make some more upgrades to make it a little bit better for park riding, but as it comes out of the box it’s a very solid choice.
This bike has a very responsive and snappy geometry which will allow you to do technical park tricks with ease. The 12.7 inch chain stay will feel very responsive for spins, while the 75.5° headtube angle will feel really responsive for cornering bowls found in the skate park.

Yes, the Sunday forecaster park is good for riding skate parks. Like I mentioned above, the snappy and responsive geometry will make riding skate parks feel like a dream. The bike has a Gyro so that you can do 1 million barspins without your brake cable getting tangled up. Overall for a beginner to mid level park rider this is a really good choice.
Riding it at the dirt jumps or pump track
Dirt Score: 3.59
The park version of the Sunday forecaster scored 3.59. This is a relatively low score since this bike is best for riding skate parks and not necessarily for riding dirt jumps. Because of the snappy geometry it’s going to be a little bit harder to upgrade this bike to perform well if you love to dirt jump. Your best bet would probably be to check out the dirt-specific bike and purchase that one.

Is the Sunday Forecaster Park bike good for riding dirt jumps and pump tracks?
I would not recommend the Sunday forecaster park if you love riding dirt jumps. Now, if you ride skate parks primarily and sometimes ride dirt jumps or pump tracks this wouldn’t be a bad bike since the quality will be able to hold up to dirt riding. But like I mentioned before because of the geometry it’s not a very specific BMX bike.

What about the Quality?
Sadly, the Sunday forecaster park BMX bike socred a 4.8 quality. This quality score is higher than some bikes because it does come with a full chromoly frame and some aftermarket parts. But cheaper bikes have scored higher in the quality section so this is a little bit disappointing.
The only time I would recommend anybody spending this much money on a bike with a quality score of 4.8 is when the bike is designed for a specific type of riding. Like this bike being designed for park-specific riding. Having a specialized utility makes a bike a little more valuable especially since park-specific bikes are few and far between.
Riding a high-quality bike is important to have fun and progress safely.
