Whether you decide to go with the Kink Switch or one of the alternative options we recommend, we hope that this blog post helps you make an informed decision and find the perfect BMX bike for your needs.

Overview:

The Kink Switch is priced at $649 and weighs 27.9 pounds. One of the standout features of this bike is that everything on it is fully upgradable and customizable, allowing you to make changes and improvements as you see fit. In terms of components, the Kink Switch comes with two nylon pegs and a standard set of Mission u-brakes. These components are of good quality and should serve you well, but if you want to make any changes or upgrades, the option is there.

In terms of color options, there is only one available for the Kink Switch: a 20.75 inch top tube in gloss gravity gray. While this may be a bit of a drawback for those who like to have more choices, the sleek, monochrome look of the Kink Switch is sure to appeal to many riders.

Sizing & Geometry:

The size of the top tube is an important factor to consider when choosing a BMX bike, as it determines how well the bike will fit you. The Kink Switch has a 20.75 inch top tube, which is best suited for riders who are between 5’9″ and 6′ tall. If you are taller or shorter than this, you may want to consider a bike with a different top tube size. To find the perfect bike for your needs, we recommend consulting our size guide, which can be found by checking out my size guide. This guide will provide you with more information on how BMX bike sizes work and help you find the right size for you.

In addition to the top tube size, the other geometries of the Kink Switch’s frame also play a role in determining how the bike will feel and handle. The 75.5 degree head tube angle and shorter 12.75 inch chainstay, for example, contribute to the bike’s snappy, responsive feel. The 9 inch standover height and 11.6 bottom bracket height also have an impact on the bike’s handling and stability. Overall, the Kink Switch is likely to feel very snappy and responsive, making it well-suited to technical riding.

Quality:

One of the most important factors to consider when purchasing a bike is the quality of its various components. In the case of the Kink Switch, the frame is made of full chromoly, which is a high-quality material that is known for its strength and durability. This means that the Kink Switch’s frame is built to last and should be able to withstand the rigors of street riding.

The fork of the Kink Switch is also of good quality, as are the handlebars, rims, and cranks. These components are all built to withstand the demands of street riding and should hold up well over time. Of course, it’s worth noting that no bike is indestructible, and it’s always a good idea to take care of your bike and perform regular maintenance to ensure that it stays in good working order.

Overall, the Kink Switch is a well-made bike that is built to last. Its high-quality components should be able to withstand the demands of street riding, and the full chromoly frame is sure to be a hit with riders who value durability and strength.

Final Thoughts:

So, do we recommend the Kink Switch? Overall, we think that this is a solid bike that is well-suited to riders interested in street riding. Its snappy, responsive geometry and high-quality components make it a good choice for those who want a bike that is capable of handling technical tricks and maneuvers.

I do recommend the kink switch because the quality that you get for the price is great. This is a pretty good value BMX bike, and I like that they included pegs and a freecoaster. I will mention that if you’re not really into the freecoaster, save some money and get the Kink Whip. The quality is identical for a lower price.

My parents bought me my first BMX bike in 2011 and it changed my life. This bike has taken me all over the world and introduced me to cool places and cooler people. My goal is to help get 1,000,000 people into BMX so they can experience the joy and freedom that comes from a progression based sport.
