2023 FIT PRK – HONEST THOUGHTS + REVIEW

If you’ve been following my channel on YouTube, you may have noticed that I haven’t reviewed any Fit BMX bikes. The 2023 Fit Park BMX bike is not my favorite, but I was recently asked about my thoughts on it, so I thought I’d explain why.

The Cost

Prices for the 2023 Fit Park BMX bike have dropped to $429 from the original MSRP of $540. In comparison, the Kink whip, another similar bike, retails for $550 and features a full chromoly frame, forks, handlebars, and double wall rims. With a full chromoly frame, forks, handlebars, and extra thick sidewall rims, the Fly Proton costs $529.

I was hoping for a return to the sleeper and scumbag models from prior years from Fit, but instead they’ve simplified their line and raised their pricing.

The Quality

High tensile steel is used in the build of the Fit Park BMX bike’s chromoly front triangle, forks, and bars. However, details of the bike, such as the hubs and rims, are left intentionally ambiguous.

The Fit Park’s high price tag and low-quality materials are a major turnoff. Only riders between 4’10” and 5’3″ in height, for whom the bike’s 20″ top tube will be an appropriate size, should consider purchasing it. The Fit Park is the highest-quality 20-inch-top-tube bicycle on the market, although larger riders would be better served by the Versus or the Forecaster Park.

The Recommendation

As a result, for the full MSRP price of $540, the Fit Park BMX bike is not something I would suggest. The only people for whom the Fit Park isn’t the greatest quality bike are those with particularly short torsos who need a 20-inch top tube. Everybody else should shell out a bit more cash for a bike with superior components and specs.

My parents bought me my first BMX bike in 2011 and it changed my life. This bike has taken me all over the world and introduced me to cool places and cooler people. My goal is to help get 1,000,000 people into BMX so they can experience the joy and freedom that comes from a progression based sport.
