S&M Pitchfork XLT Review

3.0 rating

The S&M pitchforks have been around for such a long time. Always proving to be strong and long-lasting. These forks are best for trails, or street riding. However, they are fine to ride park with. I have ridden these forks before and they were great.

Fork Geometry

A: Steerer Length: 165mm

This is the average-sized steer tube. A bigger steer tube will require spacers and make the bars higher. These forks don’t do that.

B: Offset: 33mm – Learn more about offset here

This is a mellow offset. Meaning it will feel more stable and controlled. However, fast carving and nose manuals won’t really be a thing.

C: Dropout Size: 10mm

For 10mm front wheel axles.

Conclusion

When I was riding the Pitchforks, I really liked them. One thing that you need to figure out is if you want a steep offset or a mellow offset. With the mellow offset, these forks are best for someone who wants to spend a lot of time riding first or flowy street.

Douglas Laird

My parents bought me my first BMX bike in 2011 and it changed my life. This bike has taken me all over the world and introduced me to cool places and cooler people. My goal is to help get 1,000,000 people into BMX so they can experience the joy and freedom that comes from a progression based sport.
