Mafia Kush2 Overview

The kush2+ is the new benchmark entry BMX everyone is talking about! Not only does it looks seriously fresh, but it’s also got the component spec to back up the looks. Includes colored fat logo crawler tires, CNC machined internal headset, top load stem, sealed mid-BB, 4130 3-piece cranks, padded fixed seat, logo stamped gussets, double-wall rims, and curved seat stay bridge.

The attention to detail is mind-blowing for a bike at this price point. Like all mafia, BMX’s geometry is spot on and light-weight, with a super-smooth ride. The best ever entry level complete? We think so.

Frame Geometry

A: Top Tube Length:  20.4″ – Learn what size is right for you here.Opens in a new tab.

A 20.4″ top tube is a really short top tube. This gives smaller riders the ability to progress a little faster.

This is good for riders that are between 4’10” to 5’7″

B: Chain Stay Length: 13.25”

This is a long chain stay. Longer Chain-stays give you more control when doing manuals and bunny hops.

C: Head Tube Angle: 75.5°

Steep head tube angles make the bike “snappy” meaning more responsive to fast turns.

A less steep head tube gives you more control.

D: Seat Tube Angle: 71°

E: Bottom Bracket Height: 11.75″

Mafia Kush2 Price

$250 is actually a good price for this bike. Keep in mind that it is not a top-quality bike. For $250 you get a bike that will be fun to roll around on. This doesn’t have the best parts but it is cheap.

Mafia Kush2 Quality

Most of these parts are of lower quality.

Hi-tensile frame. this is the lower quality of the frame. It will hold up good for riders that are just getting into the sport. As the rider progresses the bike will break.

Surprisingly, they included double-wall rims on the Kush 2.

Highlights

Very low price

I say that any bike under $500 is a good thing. I believe that when companies make completes for less than $500 it helps bring more people into bmx.

Lowlights

Weak Parts

After the rider learns a lot on their first bike, they will need a stronger bike to hold up to bigger tricks. The parts that come on this bike are lower quality and will tend to break as the rider progresses.

Buy if you are learning:

  • pull up BarsOpens in a new tab.
  • x-up rides
  • 180
  • Bunnyhops

Don’t buy if you are learning:

  • 720
  • tech lip tricks
  • Huge Trails
  • Grinds
  • Big drops

Mafia Kush2 Conclusion 🤩

For $250 this is actually a good deal. I was expecting the parts to be much worse. However, the double-wall rims fix a huge problem with entry-level bikes. If you are looking for your first bike to learn basic tricks like bunnyhops, 180’s and pull up bars. Do not buy this bike if you are already a solid rider.

If you are looking for higher quality bikes..

My parents bought me my first BMX bike in 2011 and it changed my life. This bike has taken me all over the world and introduced me to cool places and cooler people. My goal is to help get 1,000,000 people into BMX so they can experience the joy and freedom that comes from a progression based sport.
