2020 WTP CRS Review

2020 WTP CRS Overview

One the most anticipated bikes in BMX, the CRS is a bike Wethepeople are proud to put their stamp of approval on. Featuring an Eclat aftermarket parts injection including the “Bios” Pivotal seat and “Pure” seat clamp, the CRS also packs plenty of aftermarket goodness from Salt including a fully sealed Salt (AM) cassette hub, the new Salt (Fraction) rims. The geometry of the CRS has been tailored specifically to allow younger riders to be able to progress quicker, including short 12.75” chainstays, 26mm offset fork and 165mm cranks, giving the CRS a responsive and snappy ride. One of the most well engineered entry level bikes on the market, the CRS is a bike built with vision.

2020 WTP CRS Price

In my opinion the bike is over priced. Sitting at $500 you are spending a lot of money on a bike that will need lots of upgrading later on.

2020 WTP CRS Quality

The 2020 Wethepeople CRS has Salt/Eclat after market parts included. This is similar to Kink putting on their lower end brand “mission” on bikes. It allows them to sell at a cheaper price. This bike is a lower quality bike with Hi-ten parts.

Highlights

Great Geometry for beginners

For people that are just starting out, the compact geometry will help them progress a little faster.

Lowlights

Overpriced

I really don’t that $500 is a good price…

Buy if you are learning:

  • 180
  • tire grab
  • x-up rides
  • bunny hop
  • half-cab

Don’t buy if you are learning:

  • tailwhips
  • 360 stair-sets
  • feeble 360
  • ice pick

Conclusion 🤩

Here are a few better bikes for the same price…

My parents bought me my first BMX bike in 2011 and it changed my life. This bike has taken me all over the world and introduced me to cool places and cooler people. My goal is to help get 1,000,000 people into BMX so they can experience the joy and freedom that comes from a progression based sport.
